Taking the next vaping step 3: Mechs and RDAs


Hey everyone. So over the last few years i’ve done a few of the “Taking the next vaping step” videos. Originally it was from the cig-alike style ecigs into Ego style batteries. Then after that we covered moving into bigger mod style devices. While those videos are on the oder side now, the information in them is still quite relevant.


Today were going to look at using Mech mods and RDA’s or rebuildable atomizers. What you should look for in both, the supplies you will need to build successfully and the batteries you will need to keep yourself safe.


Were obviously not going to be able to cover every mech mod and RDA ever made there are literally hundreds and hundreds out there to choose from. What i’m going to do is cover a few of my favorites, as well as some more “vape budget hands” friendly

mods and RDAS


If there is one thing to take away from this video its AMP LIMITS, lower ohm coils will require more amps from your battery. Do not ask your battery for more amps than it can provide… they hate that and get angry by possibly venting hot toxic gasses into your face.

SHORTLY AFTER THIS VIDEO WAS MADE, I DISCOVERED THAT THE VAMPED 40a BATTERIES ARE NOT IN FACT ACTUAL 40a BATTERIES. THEY ARE PULSE RATED FOR 40a WHICH IS STILL OK TO USE, JUST NOT AS LOW OF AN OHM AS I HAD STATED. AT BEST THEY ARE 20a CELLS WHICH ARE STILL GOOD DOWN TO ABOUT 0.3OHMS. SORRY FOR THE MISS-COMMUNICATION

Kanthal wire is graded in gauges. higher gauge will yield higher ohms, lower gauge will yield lower ohms.
