How do you direct link to an affiliate program in Google Ads?

Question by OralPro: How do you direct link to an affiliate program in Google Ads?

I may be wrong but it is my understanding that Google (and maybe other) search platforms do not allow you to direct link your Ad to an Affiliate Offer. The Ad has to go to a Landing Page where you then send the visitor to the offer. Additionally I heard that it is possible to redirect a visitor to an affiliate offer without really sending them to a landing page. There are probably several ways to accomplish this. I need to know first if my assumptions are correct and second (if they are) what is the acceptable way of redirecting a visitor without having a landing page?

You can link directly to your landing page but it’s not going to show up in any search engines and it not a good idea, because if it’s an affiliate programme there are probably hundreds or thousands of links to the same page.

The reason people do landing pages is so that it’s not just another link to the same affiliate page.

You’re much better off doing a landing page and from that landing page redirecting your visitors to your affiliate page. If you don’t fancy doing all the work of making a landing page just go to fiverr.com and let someone do it for a $ 5.
